La actividad física regular incrementa la capacidad de ejercicio y la aptitud física, lo cual deriva en beneficios para la salud. En este sentido, la precisa cuantificación de la actividad física y de la aptitud física se ha vuelto una herramienta esencial en términos de salud y de efectividad de los programas de intervención. Las personas que por necesidades de su salud, o bien por iniciativa propia, recurren a profesionales aptos para cumplir con las tareas de entrenamiento físico personalizado, exigen que este profesional posea la mayor idoneidad posible.  La preparación física y el entrenamiento personalizado son a su vez actividades laborales, para las cuales es necesario que se alcancen altos niveles académicos en la formación de recursos. Los conocimientos científicos necesarios para poder encarar el entrenamiento personalizado en particular, serán nuestras metas, que intentaremos alcanzar al concluir con el cursado.
